Does anybody know anything about tarot cards?
My friend has tarot cards and I drew three cards, and to me what they had to say didn’t make any sense. Can somebody explain what they mean as a whole? I mean altogether. I had wheel of fortune, page of wands, and ace of cups.

Suggestion by ~Skytheria~
It depends on the question you asked, and the spread you chose. Since I don’t know these things i can only give you general information concerning the cards.

The Wheel: You’ve reached a turning point in your life. The hub of the wheel relates to stability, but the outer rim portends change, taking a gamble.

Page of Wands: A phone call or e-mail you’ve been hoping for arrives.

Ace of Cups: A happy situation is about to start or is already in the beginning stages. (new love, new start, new opportunities)

Is it a coincidence that the Tarot Cards I pulled are the same?
Ok, I know this might sound impossible or fake, but when I used my Tarot Cards do depict an answer the cards I pull are always the same. I wanted to know what is the future of mankind. And I shuffled my cards and redid the reading 30 times and its always the same. Im just wondering, is this a scam or what?!?!??!

Suggestion by Chanell F
if ur doing it how can it be a scam…
i’ve read my own cards a bunch off different times also, and althought all the cards dont come out the same the major ones do.. so maybe it’ll really happen

Suggestion by Songwolf
Really we can’t say. We didn’t see nor pull the cards. Being the person that pulled the cards, it’s up to you weather to believe them or not.

Suggestion by Jenny S
That depends on how much belief you have in the cards, and how much you rely upon them. The fact that your readings come up the same every time when you read for this particular question means there is something there, perhaps if you dig deeper you will be able to find out the answer below it all. Also, I want you to keep in mind that when you ask a question like, “what is the future of mankind?” you are leaving the field very open to how the spirits want to answer you. They may decide that you are talking about the group of mankind around you, or they may decide you are only talking about yourself. Try being more specific with your question by asking the cards something like “what is the fate of the world’s population if we continue on the same path that we are currently on?” You might find the answer finally changes. If so, perhaps you need to investigate your previous question or explore other similar but more specific questions to get the full answer you wish to understand. Remember, the spirit world moves in a different way than we do.

I have some general questions about tarot cards and reading?

tarot cards

I have some general questions about tarot cards and reading?
1. How do you shuffle your deck? I know it’s a manner of preference, but I want some opinions. This leads into…

2. Should I encourage reverse cards? Is this also a manner of preference?

3. What is a good spread for asking simple questions? Just shuffle and draw a card as an answer?

Suggestion by Meetu
First thing abt Tarot – FOLLOW your INTUITION.
1. U can shuffle any way u like. Tarot cards r sacred. so handle them with respect. I shuffle like playing cards jus tht i do it much more respectfully and lovingly This is the easiest way for me as my hands ar a little small. They r ur companions.

2. Again its a matter of ur chioce. Reverse cards also indicate the same except tht the intensity of the msg of the card is reduced. Its more like planets going retrograde. I generally dont use reversed cards. Only if they fall from deck in a reversed manner i read them in tht way.

3. For simple questions u can do a one card reading or 5 card reading. again go with ur intuition. Sometimes a single card cant give u info as the issue goes deeper, so u can take either a clarification card or do a complete reading. Use bigger spreads for getting deeper insights.

Suggestion by Helen
1) Overhand (I have never been able to riffle shuffle any cards and I and don’t want to damage my cards)
2) Not as a beginner, but later to add some depth to your dictionary/vocabulary
3) Single card or three card spread (past, present, future) or 2-card challenges spread (situation and challenges), or 2-card challenges spread plus likely outcome of current path/direction (the 3 main cards from the celtic cross spread for a specific issue).

There are some great tips in this site:

Suggestion by Rev. Lynn D.
I shuffle my deck as I would any other cards and it is a matter of preference. Some readers don’t use reverse cards but I think that it limits you in your readings if reverse is not used. You don’t have to encourage them, they will just happen.

I don’t use a spread for questions. I throw 3 – 5 cards and sometimes even more if I don’t get the answer right away.

Can other people besides yourself touch your tarot cards?
I have heard that nobody but you can touch them because of personal energy, but what if the other person is the questioner? Dont they have to pick out thier own cards?

Suggestion by overweight doomsayerz
You’re just not supposed to have a tarot card set that has been used by someone else.

Suggestion by samakāmitā
sure, if they find some.

Suggestion by Maci
If someone touched your tarot cards and made you feel uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult. No one should touch your tarot cards until you are ready.

How do i go about giving myself a tarot reading?
I have the Rider-Waite tarot deck? And is it true that an ordinary pack of playing cards can also be used?
Oh, and it’s a reading for love. ( :

Suggestion by baronvonstrudel
Well I’d imagine that you shuffle and cut the deck, and then lay the cards out in the correct spread.

Ordinary playing cards… eh well you could I suppose substitute them for the minor arcana, but what about the major arcana?

Nice choice in deck, by the way.

Suggestion by Lady Amethyst
You can use ordinary cards, but it makes it hard if you aren’t familiar with the suites. My suggestion follow the instructional booklet.

Suggestion by ~*C☼J*~
ok first u get a lighter and go in a circle around the bottom of the deck then the top and be careful not to burn yourself or the cards and the shuffle them and while shuffleing think deeply about what u want to know then when u feel the need to stop shuffleing u do the lay out that u want and wala u got ur reading if u need more help just email me

tarot reading

Can anyone help me interpret a tarot reading?
I did two past, present, future readings asking about the status of a relationship.
First Reading: Past 2 of Wands, Present 5 of Wands, Future Queen of Wands.
Second Reading: Past Wheel of Fortune, Present Ace of Pentacles, Future High Priestess.

Thanks so much for your help.

Suggestion by James B
I’m picking up a major balance of power issue in this relationship. One of the people involved (the feminine one, which still could be a male, I don’t know for sure) in the past was feeling either dominated or overwhelmed by the other person, signified by both the 2 of Wands (domination and command) and the Wheel of Fortune (looking for a change in circumstances). In the present I see the struggle has lessened (the 5 of Wands) and the relationship is starting to take root and blossom (Ace of Pentacles). In the future, I’m seeing a need for both parties to speak up and communicate their true feelings to each other (High Priestess) but it definitely seems like there is a good chance that the relationship will work (Queen of Wands).

Hope this helps!

Suggestion by Cherry_Red
Your first reading:

2 of wands in reference to the past: a great deal of independence in your past and leading into your present as a result of the experience you have gathered throughout the years. This card tells of a wealth of resources that have been available to you as well as the self confidence and determination that all you to yield them. Considered to be a peaceful interval before you continue upon your journey. This is a card of choices and decisions as well as struggles.

5 of wands in reference to your present: this card symbolizes competition and suggest a competitive time in your life. Unfocused energies can result in conflict with others or within yourself in which both parties are equally strong and equally blind to one another. This is a trying time in your life that requires strength. However keep in mind that cooperation is the key.

Queen of Wands in reference to your future: The Queen of wands is known to be a woman of passion and intensity who can command attention. People are drawn to her as if by magic. Magnetic and willful she will inspire you to utilize your imagination and always speak the truth. You will use the advice you are given and make reasonable decisions.

Note: The suit of wands tends to generally symbolize work, ambitions, business and/or property. Seeing as your entire reading came out as such, I feel as though your inquiry was specifically directed to those aspects of your life.

Second reading:

The Wheel of fortune in reference to your past: The universal symbol for destiny and karma. The wheel represents luck and chance and perhaps a carefree or hands off attitude in your past. Suggests a major turning point and a time for advancement that requires risk taking that proceed a time of aimlessness.

Ace of pentacles in reference to your present: Symbolizes reward. Any project or situation associated with such a card is assured to be successful. Wealth in return for past efforts. Considered to be the best money card in tarot suggesting a prosperous financial situation.

The High Priestess in reference to your future: This card suggest a time of following your gut and allowing your intuition to guide the way to the right answers. The High Priestess holds a divine power to guide and protect. The card is a lucky one suggesting good things to come in time and may require patience. Go with feelings above all.

This is the best I can do without doing an actual in-person reading. I normally suggest that the person I read for think of a general question or situation for which they are seeking insight. It gives me as well as the reading a better idea of what to look for when doing the reading. Additionally, I personally suggest to do no more than one reading in a 3 month period to avoid discrepancies, so enough for now.

Hope I could help

I have a question about Tarot cards?
I really want to learn how to rad Tarot, but I am confused about the order the cards should be in. Is there a specific order or can they just be placed anywhere? Because it would take a long time to mesmerize the order they’re in and I’m only 13.

Suggestion by Claire007
Tarot Cards are evil. Stay away from them. Don’t even think about it!

You are 13 . You have your whole life in front of you.

If you want to know answers, read the bible, go to church. Join a youth group.

Suggestion by never mind
Get a book about reading the cards. I couldn’t even begin to tell you everything about it on here. Get a book and have fun! And ignore the ignorant. 🙂

ETA: Hey “orchid” and other dummies- God spoke to me 20 years ago and told me the Tarot is God’s own sacred creation, so where are you getting the idea that it is evil? lol

Suggestion by orchidmg
they are magic cards made for evil actions. Stay away from them. Anything that isn’t of God is of the devil.

Can anyone help me with Tarot Cards?
I recently recieved Tarot cards(Miss Cleos tarot power deck) and i was wondering if anyone had some good tips on how i can be a good card reader. Any hint tips or secrets are welcome.

10 points to anyone who can really help me! thanks everyone!

Suggestion by Tbing
I think some people are more gifted than others. I dont think I will ever be able to read the tarot like other people do so. I have my limitations in this area. Will i get better or will i get to be as good as other people whose abilities are admirable? I dont know. All i know is that in the beginning the cards did not talk to me at all. Or they talked to me but i just didnt get it. Now it has been maybe six weeks since i started and i can say that i am getting a feeling. That is all i can tell you. I do the readings on myself on stuff that i would like to know or have intrigues about. Or on how events are going to unfold with regards to a specific situation.

Suggestion by Mystic
Greetings to you;
The deck you have is not the easiest to learn from. When I teach the tarot, I usually suggest the Waite Rider’s deck, simply do the colors, and symbology. To learn the tarot, first learn how to look after them, you are imprinting energy on them, and at the onset, I would not suggest that you allow others to touch them. Learn the major arcana first. You can do great readings just from them. I strongly recommend that you learn the basics of astrology and numerology, as both are entwined within the tarot strongly. Keep your cards wrapped in a natural fibre cloth, such as cotton, velvet, silk, leather, then I like to also have my wrapped cards in a wood or stone box. Remember, to learn to read the spreads from right to left not left to right. There are reasons for all of this, and sadly, I would need to write a book to cover it all. Also when you lay out your cards, have a cloth just for that, such as velvet, or cotton or leather, silk is acceptable, but not usually practical. Learn a 5 card spread, rather than the celtic cross (save that for later). Keep a journal of all your spreads. There are lots of good books out there, and you should read at least 3 or 5 of them, as each author will have a different slant. Eden Gray book is a classic, she had wrote 2 (I think maybe 3) another good author is Emily Peach, and Anthony Louis, all great writers. Of the 3 that I have mentioned, Emily is the best, as she goes very deep in the tree of life (which is something to check out).
Good Luck.

Is it true that when it comes to tarot cards you can not buy them for yourself?
I have began to study wicca and I was recently told that I am not allowed to purchase my own tarot cards they supposed to be given to me as a gift?

Suggestion by Dogstar Risen on the 3rd Day
It’s not that you can’t it’s just that most people are too embarrassed to admit that they bought them themselves.

“Oh, are these yours?”

“No, no…err…they were a gift.”

Suggestion by tuisson
oh no! I’m the only person I know who would buy me a deck. This is terrible news! What should I do with the deck I’ve been using for 12 years?

Question about the HIGH PRIESTESS tarot card meaning?

tarot card meaning

Question about the HIGH PRIESTESS tarot card meaning?
What can this card mean regarding a man’s first impression of a woman? Or what he thinks of her the first time he sees her.

thank you!

Suggestion by Daughter of Metis
He sees her as out of his league. Probably a little intimidating. He sees her as someone mysterious and beautiful.

Suggestion by Jane Tipper
Upon first learning this card I learned it as (Spiritual – Teacher – Friend – Secrets) so I think those are good interpretations for your question.

Also based on various books around my house on the subject….

“The card describes a person who is in touch with reality, who goes with the flow, or who simply knows without knowing.” ~R.T. Kaser

“Queen of the underworld, daughter of the Earth Mother Demeter and guardian of the secrets of the dead.” “…is a seductive and fascinating figure who does not speak of her secrets.” ~Juliet Sharman-Burke and Liz Greene

Upright: Feminine, Unknown Woman, the Unknown, Secrets, Confidant, Mystery….. Reversed: Feminist, Gossip, False, Deceitful, Disloyal, Faithless ~Dorothy Kelly

Just a side note, I do not personally read cards in a way which reversed meanings are relevant and I would go with the positive meanings. I was just being fair to the book I pulled it from.
