Where can I learn how to read tarot cards?
I’ve had many readings done and it always comes true. I really want to learn how to read tarot cards for myself. I’m looking for a really useful website. Can anyone help me?

Suggestion by Misty❀Dawɳe
There are many websites that can help you and there are usually directions that come with the box of cards

Suggestion by guyster
If you can read English, you can read Tarot Cards.

But if you think they give you supernatural powers, you’re sadly mistaken.

Suggestion by Mae B
Yes, this is a good site to learn tarot http://www.shops-flower.com/recommends/UltimateTarot.html

It’s designed for beginners and you don’t even need a pack of tarot cards.

What kind of store would one find tarot cards?
I’m looking for a nice deck of tarot cards but in honesty I don’t know where to find them.
I’m not a witch or psychic so I would appreciate if people left their smartass comments elsewhere.
I just want a nice deck of artful tarot cards and I need to know where to look.
Thanks

Suggestion by kaserak
You could go with a specialty (occult) store but why bother? You can find them at any Barnes & Noble in the New Age section (at least I think it’s in that section, just ask them). They usually have several different decks, from basic to ornate. You could also get them online – Amazon has plenty to choose from.

Suggestion by Jessy
Hi I don’t know where abouts you live but most large towns will have a kooky little shop that sells items assosiated with the occult, I got my first pack from a car boot sale, and if all else fails, try online shops or ebay, however as far as I know there are no Highstreet shops that sell them. x x

Suggestion by Kel
Most bookstores carry them.

How do I find the meaning of Tarot Cards?
i have a deck of Tarot Cards and know how to do them, but i don’t have a book on their meanings. like you know, ‘seven of swords’
i just want to do a standard diamond set up (past, present, future, advice)
and tell what they mean. Is there a website that will give me the meanings?

Suggestion by Smeezle
try this site: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/ it has a very good section on learning to read tarot. It also has hundreds of deck reviews and pictures. Don’t forget to look in your library for books on tarot, there are loads.

Suggestion by Jeramie M
pick a search engine and type in Tarot Spreads and cards meanings, thousands of site will appear.

Suggestion by philebus
If you look at the many books and internet sites about tarot, you find that people interpret the cards differently, attributing different meanings to the various cards, even giving them different names. The reason for this lies in the cards’ history. Tarot cards do not have an occult origin, instead they were invented in 15th century Italy for use in a card game. They were created by adding a fifth suit to the then standard pack of playing cards, this extra cards took as their theme a Christian triumph procession, hence they were called trionfi, meaning triumphs, and from which we get our word trump. It was the invention of tarot that marked the invention of trumps in card games.

It was not until the very late 18th century that people began to use tarot for divination and the meanings attributed to the cards were the product of invention based upon erroneous beliefs about the cards’ origins. For example, The Hanged Man is often described as self sacrifice – well no one in France or the English speaking world quite knew what else to make of a man suspended by one foot! However, in the cards’ native Italy, this card was known as The Traitor – because that’s how they killed their traitors, suspending them upside down and leaving them to die slowly and publically.

In the 19th century, French occultists began to attribute new origins to the cards and with them new meanings – the most important was the belief that they were Cabbalistic. Over time, new occultists interpreted the cards according to their various occult systems, be they of The Golden Dawn or the OTO to name just a couple. However, gradually, the design of the occult cards became rather more post-modern, with little regard to strict systems and a greater emphasis on personal interpretation. These days, anything goes, which, given their real origin, is more fitting. Just look at the picture and go with whatever feels right to you.

Personally, I do not believe that fortune telling is possible – however, were it so, it is hard to believe that some card with ink on has any special powers, so any foretelling of the future is coming from the reader, not the cards. The long and the short of it is this, whatever you believe about the possibility of knowing the future, the books on tarot meanings are meaningless.

On a side note, I will point out that tarot games are not a thing of the past but are still played throughout much of continental Europe and those of us who play them think that they are the best card games in the world – so if you tire of fortune telling, do check out the games!

how can i learn palm reading fast, and easy?

how can i learn palm reading fast, and easy?
i went to my grandma’s house and found out that my great great grandma was psychic, read palms and tarot cards, and used a ouija board (SCARY!!!) and i got curious and read a book on palm reading and found it really interesting and would like to go further with my studies, but I’m having problems memorizing the stars, exes, and plus sines and stuff on certain places. Help?

Suggestion by Cultural Theorist
Because you described it as “SCARY” and are having trouble memorizing the necessary information to perform the duties, it seems that you do not have the gift, only the curiosity.

How old do you have to be to get your palm read in Georgia?
I really want to get my palm read, but I heard that you have to be 18 to do it in Georgia (I’m 17).
And please reply with reasonable answers and not, “YOU NEED THE BIBLE IN YOUR LIFE!” or “PALM READINGS ARE FAKE NOW GROW UP!”
Lexi: I live in Georgia o-o And yeah, it’s awful. I can’t move out yet, though =/

Suggestion by Misconception

I actually got my palm read about 2 months ago. I’m only 14, so my mom had to come with me. I’m in Georgia as well. Don’t listen to anyone saying that they’re not true, my reading was so accurate!! A palm reading should be like a once in a lifetime thing, because the woman just said everything that would happen for me. It was just awesome. Here’s the woman’s info.

How can you read palms and auras?
i really would like to learn in detail how to read palms and auras!

Suggestion by Erin
I’m not sure about palms; I “expert” in auras.

1: get a friend to stand a couple feet in frount of a white backround.
2: have them sway slowly back and forth.
3:concentrate directly on the person, but in a way, pretend you are looking at the wall behind them. (like looking THROUGH them without actually doing it)
4: soon, you will see a light band aound them. Look at it from the corner of your eye. Soon, it will turn into some type of color. That is an aura. Don’t rush yourslef: it didnt take me a while to be able to do it. I natually have eyeproblems since birth, and this helped me open my THIRD EYE. It may be harder if you dont have any. Just be paintient.

• Red: The color of strength, passion, impulsiveness and will.
• Orange: Color of affection, kindness, and creativity. The muddier shades denote vanity, while golden orange represents self-control. Someone with orange in his/her aura may suffer from kidney troubles.
• Yellow: Mental activity, optimism, perfectionism, responsibility, sometimes shyness.
• Green: The color of sympathy and reliability. The person may be an effective healer. Dark shades of green however indicate one who is jealous or hesitant.
• Blue: The color of calm, and spiritual and material attainment. May sometimes represent a tendency to moodiness and depression.
• Indigo/Violet: The colors of the seeker who has inborn psychic and intuitive abilities. They represent an astounding ability in the handling of practical matters. Dark shades may show that the person is often misjudged and misunderstood. May indicate heart or stomach trouble.
• Black: The color of self-protection. The person is good at ‘wearing masks’.
• Pink: A compassionate person who is fond of the arts. Darker shades of pink may point to immaturity and irresponsibility.
• White: Purity and honesty. A color associated with spiritually evolved persons.
• Silver: The person might be pregnant or is going to be soon! However, this is not always so. Seeing this may indicate a person who is allowing great creativity in their life.

Where I could learn about tarot cards?

Where I could learn about tarot cards?
I write a fanfic where I require tarot cards for each characters, so I’ll need a web page information where tarot cards meanings are listed specifically. Anyone know where?

Suggestion by josh!!!! (*_*)
but the thing is…each card in a tarot deck has different meanings per deck/per person. there are base meanings for the major arcana but still each person can get so many other meanings from them.
for the minor arcana it that is very dependant on the deck, and the reader, plus their connection.

this will give you the basic meanings of the major arcana though. http://www.thelostfound.com/tarot/cards/meanings/major.html

Suggestion by sexy butterfly
I’m not sure but you could use goggle. Just be warned that every deck has its own specific meanings for the court cards and the minor arcana cards along with the symbols. Also some decks have stories to go along with the meaning of all 72 cards. But goggling it should give you the basics.

Suggestion by Mossflower Wood
This website should be able to help you understand both the basic story behind the cards, as well as their meanings in a Tarot reading.

http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/

This site lists all the cards of the Major Arcana, the Minor Arcana, and the suits.

The story of the cards is very fascinating. =]

Tarot Cards – meanings?
I have been seeing only Justice tarot cards in my readings over the last two days. When I asked for a clarification I got Wheel of Fortune (reversed), The Moon (reversed) and The Lovers.

Andbody knows what it means?
I asked different questions, got the same card. Also I have been seeing the tarot card Tower, both revered and upright on and off.

Suggestion by Marquis de LaDeaux
You must keep an eye out on both friends and enemies, because chances are someone is going to try to deceive you. You should also take some personal time for yourself, as people may depend on you and cause you stress.

Suggestion by Brigid
Justice – well, it pretty much means justice. Something that was wrong will be put right.

Wheel of Fortune – upright, it means to let go and simply accept what will happen because the event are out of your control (fate).

The Moon – upright, it represents the unknown, intuition, possibly feminine mysteries or the mysteries of the dark.

The Lovers – could mean love or a relationship; usually means there is an important decision to be made and a sacrifice that will go with it. With love comes choice, with choice comes sacrifice.

The Tower – upright, it represents a sudden and drastic change, like a lighting strike. This energy can be harnessed and directed, but this is incredibly difficult. Usually it best to try and avoid being in the direct path, but certainly expect something big.

When it comes to reversals, there are different schools of thought on the matter. The general method is to interpret the energies of those cards are blocked or in their opposite form. This usually gives them a negative meaning, but in some cases can be pleasant. As with all tarot cards, remember that even the ones that seem bad have a silver lining – with pain comes understanding and learning.

How you want to interpret these reversals is up to you. Base it on the situation and the cards surrounding them in the spread; go with how you think they should be read.

With the Wheel reversed, I would think that means you or someone involved is not willing to surrender control of the situation and just let things take their natural course. The Moon reversed probably means there is a block against your intuition and that you are not listening to your inner voice, probably out of a fear of the unknown. The Tower, well that one is a special card all on its own. Upright, drastic change. Reversed, perhaps a not-so-drastic change. Still, even if you turn the card around, there still is that lightning bolt.

It seems to me that there are important events coming up in your future, and some problems will be made right. You need to let go and accept that some things are out of your control, and have faith in yourself and what you know to be right. Above all, The Lovers is telling you to be true to yourself and what you believe in when faced with a difficult choice. Justice is an important card for you, so hang on to that. What happens now may not be fun and certainly may not be pleasant, but it will be for the best.
